Some Ideas to help your Self Confidence

    Post 104 of 198

Unlike self esteem, self confidence can fluctuate from situation to situation. Sometimes even when we know our capabilities and qualities though we still mightn’t believe them. Here are some useful ideas that can help boost self confidence:

Take time to pamper yourself. When you look at your best you’ll feel good too

Set smaller more achievable goals to help build confidence. Try setting SMART goals

Ask yourself, ‘If someone else came to me with my problems how would I advise them?’

Make a list of things that you feel you’re proud of

Sing along to your favourite upbeat music

Laugh at your favourite comedians, your friends jokes

Start some physical exercise if you can such as going to the gym or taking brisk walks to help release some feel good endorphins

Try learning something new such as playing a musical instrument or taking up an art class

The above are just a few ideas, the list isn’t exhaustive. I tend to think though that self esteem and self confidence, although different,  sometimes begin with something as simple as just taking yourself seriously, but not too seriously that you can’t have a laugh.
