Anger Management is important

Anger Management is important because anger can damage relationships. It can impair judgments, and have a negative effect on how others see you. It can effect, even hurt you in other ways if it gets out of control.

For example it may hurt your career. Criticism when constructive can be a tool for improvement. If just lashing out constantly, judging harshly then colleagues tend to lose respect. This in turn makes it harder for you to get the best from your team. If you gain a bad reputation it may be harder for you to get ahead in your career.

It can also hurt your mental health. Anger consumes a lot of mental energy, making it harder to concentrate. It also leads to stress and depression.

It leaves scars on those we love and gets in the way of our friendships. It can make it difficult for others to trust us or feel comfortable with us. This is especially true of children and how they see someone who explodes at the slightest thing.

It can also affect our physical health. Constant high levels of stress and tension isn’t healthy. It can leave us with heart disease, a weakened immune system, high blood pressure and so on.

Counselling can help understand anger as you learn to manage and communicate it more effectively and constructively.
